Scripty Butterflies with Leah

Alas, my reign of watercolor has ended for this month, lol, but that doesn't mean I won't do it again soon muwahahahaha.

For this project, although not watercolor, it is an equally fun technique, that you can find more about on my blog at Ode to Paper.  I used the Flutterby #2 Sweet Cuts die for this technique, as well as the Artsy Fartsy French Script ATC background stamp, Framed Handwritten Words clear stamp set, some Glastique and some Shades Dye Ink in Amaryllis.

There are so many dies, stamps and other fun stuff in the Sweet Stamps online shop, and you create so many different things with them!  The possibilities are endless, and i want to try them all!!!!!

See you next month (lol) for more Sweet Stamps creative fun :)

Hippity Hop!

Hello friends!  Hope you had a wonderful Easter weekend!!  kel here today to share a super sweet bunny card!!

For today's post I used the flower bun from the Springtime Bunnies clear stamp set from the March 2016 new release.

This little dude is so cute.  I love his little flower and his cocked little ear!!  I colored him up with my copics and stuck with a grey, white, and yellow color scheme... I love how this card came out too.  So simple and totally my style! haha!

Thanks for stopping by, hope to see you again soon!!

Little Peeps: A bird'day Card

Josette here with another Tuesday installment.  Today's card features the little birds from this stamp set.
                                                             Happy_Bird_Day

So here is my card that I created.

this was a fun card and is pretty straight forward.  The background is one I created on Watercolor Paper using powdered dyes.  I had first stenciled the paper with Versamark through a stencil, then embossed in a clear embossing powder.  Finally colored with the powdered dies.  I cut this will a window die and added a shaker window to the front of the card.  All of the birds were colored with Copics and highlighted with Wink of Stella in clear.

The final card is an A2 and folds flat enough that it should be easily mailed.

Be sure and visit Sweet Stamps and check out all the new releases and all the other amazing products.

Happy Craftin,
Josette

Enjoy Your Day

This is Kim. Today I have a vintage inspired card using Sweet Stamps' Love Birds ATC set. I stamped it using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored in the image using Zig's Real Brush Watercolor pens.
I fussy cut the image after the watercolor was dried. The sentiment is from the Simple Greetings set. I  stamped the sentiment with Versamark then used white fine embossing powder .

Wooden Chick Tags

Happy Easter everyone!!!
Hope you have a fun-filled weekend planned with lots of CANDY and LOVE and LAUGHTER!
This year we bought some See's Candies thru my son's school and I love the pretty Easter paper, but it was just lacking a little something!   So I turned to my supplies for a little help.

I had so much fun making these wooden tags.
Here is a picture tutorial on how I achieved it.
Supplies:
Memento Ink: Rich Cocoa
Wooden Tags
Stamps: Bunny and Chicks Circles

I bought the wooden tags from Michaels, during Christmas, not sure if they still have them, but there are lots of other companies that make them too.   I took the black round sticker off and lightly sanded it, to give it a smoother surface.   Then I stamped the image using the Memento ink and I held it in place for about 15 seconds, that way the wood would soak up the ink.

Then I colored them using Prismacolor pencils.   I only used three colors and not a lot of pressure was needed when applying color.  Just remember to color with the grain of the wood first and then go back and fill in the gaps, once the first layer has been applied.

Here is a close up of one of the tags.

Happy Easter and thank you for stopping by today!
Hugs.

Bunny Girl

Hello friends!  kel here today to share with you a fun card for a little girl!  This adorable little thing is the little bunny girl from the Cute As A Bunny clear set in the store.  And okay... honesty time.  I have had this patterned paper sitting in my scrap pile since probably 2002.  Bwahahaha!!

I colored her up with my Copics and then popped her up on some foam dots.  I hand-drew a stitched border to add a little bit to the solid mat I used... otherwise it was just too boring!

Thanks for stopping by, hope to see you again soon!

A Shaker Card

Tuesday again and I am back with another sweet image from the next release.  I used Sunshine_Kitty_clear_stamp_set

I got a little wild with my coloring but it is still cute.  This is a 5" shaker card.  The image was colored with copics and the then placed behind the shaker window.  The window was filled with sequins.  A simple bow,  "hello and friend" cut from glitter paper and we have a cute card for that special person.
Hope you enjoy!!
Until next week,
Happy Crafting,
Josette

Especially For You

Hello Stampers! This is Kim her to share with you a fun watercolored card. I am using this beautiful butterfly piccolo shape from Sweet Stamps as my main focus for my card today. I used the enamel fluid to get the image wet then I sprinkled on a generous amount of the Vintage Black enamel powder.
The background was watercolored using various shades of pinks and purple Zig Clear Real Brush pens. I also added some coarse salt to the paper while it was drying to add some texture the the background. I die cut the circle and embossed it. The butterfly is adhered using 3D tape for dimension. I used the white fine detail embossing powder for the sentiment.

Peep Peep

Morning sweeties.
Easter is right around the corner and I love having the perfect stamps from SweetStamps, to create those special cards!!

So, while you are still playing with March's release...Did see April's release!!??
24 brand spanking new sets!!!
OMG...They are so cute and I mean REALLY CUTE!!!
Check them out HERE

For my card today, I am using Easter Baskets, which was released sometime last year.
The image has been colored using Copics and then used a die cut to create the shape it's in.
I adhered some fun foam behind the image before applying it to the card base.  Once the card was completely assembled, I added glitter glue (Stardust) to the edge of the white base and the purple bow.

Hope you've enjoyed my card today, as much as I enjoyed sharing it with you.
Until next time.

Hugs.

Guest Designer Darlene

Hello SweetStamps.com fans!

We'd like to give a warm welcome to Darlene from Dar's Crafty Creations!!

She's our next Guest Designer this month!!

----------

First a little about Darlene:

Hi!  I’m Darlene Pavlick from Akron, Ohio, USA.  My husband, Mark & I are originally from Pittsburgh, PA and that is where our families reside.  We have one daughter who is married with two children, Morgan (23) and Jonathan (18) and has her own accounting business.  She is the one who got me started in paper crafting about 12 years ago.  To make a long story short, once she introduced me to scrapbooking/card making, I’ve been paper crafting every day since.  It is my passion and mental therapy! I am retired, have the basement of our home set up as my ‘crafting cave’ and spend lots of time there spreading my creative wings!  I’ve been blessed to meet so many wonderfully talented people from around the world through this craft and many have become personal friends!

I’m honored to say that I have been on various design teams over the years but currently I am a member of The Sisterhood of Crafters (Originating sister 2010), Dies R Us Inspiration DT, Blog and DT Leader for Dies R Us Challenge Blog (March 2014), Robyn’s Fetish (2015) and a good friend and I just started our own challenge blog in January 2016 called Double D.

Please come visit me at Dar’s Crafty Creations http://www.darscraftycreations.blogspot.com/

Darlene, we are happy to have you as a Guest Designer!!

----------

Here is Darlene's first project with us:

This sweet digi is called CLAIRE
and, she's all ready for those warmer temperatures
that we are all longing for!!

I've kept my card pretty simple because I wanted you to see just how fabulous these digital stamps are.  My background was created by simply sponging blue for the sky and green for the grass on a white piece of card stock.  A spring time  frame die cut and a few butterflies help set the scene for CLAIRE.

----------

Darlene has another card to share with us next Friday as well!!

Happy Stamping!

You and me: Sweet Kitties by Josette

Hello again.  I am back with another Tuesday Card.  This one is also from the April release.  You can see the stamp set here:  What's New Pussycat?

This turned out sweet.  The background is one that I made as an exercise in finding the right color for another project.  The posting where I describe the making of the background  can be found Here.
Just scroll down and you will see the background for this card.

After the background was completed, the rest of the card was straightforward.  Cut a sentiment out of White and mounted it with a piece of left over purple cardstock.  Created a mat from a white textured paper.  The Kitties were colored with Copics and take front and center stage.  All that was needed was a purple bow to tie it all together.  Sweet isn't it.

Remember to visit Sweet Stamps for all your paper crafting needs.
Until Next week,
Happy Crafting,
Josette

I fussy cut the bunny and used a Spellbinder die to cut out the shape and popped up the bunny using 3D tape. The grass was cut freehand and the sentiment is stamped onto a leftover piece of watercolor paper using the Simple Greetings set.

Couple On Swing Card

Hi all!  kel here today to share with you a fun card that actually came from my 'unfinished projects' pile!!  I know everyone has one of those... or at least agree with me so I don't feel so bad about being the only one!!  haha!!

This is Couple on Swing from the store... do you remember my post last month about the Valentines bags I made??  Well this is one colored couple who didn't make it onto a bag... I typically make extras just in case I goof or Baby Z decides he wants to help out or make something himself!!  So since I already had them all prepped to go, I figured, why not make it into a card?!?

I just adore these two... And that sentiment is so beautiful too!!  I colored this pair up with Copics and then added some fun patterned paper and bright colored buttons.  LOVE.

Thanks for stopping by, hope to see you again soon!!

A lot of Bling by Josette

Good day! Another Tuesday installment and today I am using a stamp from the soon to be released April Release.  This stamp set is called:  Keep Calm.  The moment I saw it, I thought bling.
Again the picture doesn't do it justice.  I started out by foiling the image in gold and then glued rhinestones in various colors to all the swirls.  I added a few more to the card base.

This was matted onto a dark purple.  The mat is another foiled paper.  It was created by running the printout through the MINC.  This was then fussy cut so that words scrolled around the image.

This was then mounted onto the same purple cardstock that the mat was created from.  This is slightly smaller than an A2 as I needed to adjust the size to get the words to flow.

Here is a close up.  All of the lines are gold.  This card in person is amazing and rich.

Visit Sweet Stamps to view the other soon to be released stamps and they are on Sale!!!

Until next week,
Happy Crafting,
Josette

Irish Eyes

Hello Stampers! This is Kim. Today I am using Sweet Stamps' new release set called Irish Eyes. I colored her in using Copic markers. The background is randomly placed onto white cardstock.
I fussy cut the image out and popped her onto the card using 3D tape. The yellow bazzill paper was embossed for texture. I freehand the banner and added a couple of small rhinestones on either side.

Watercolored Poppies with Leah

Hello everyone, and welcome to my month of watercolor inspiration for Sweet Stamp!

For this project I decided to make two (almost) identical cards using the Poppies 1007 red rubber stamp and the Beautiful Day stamp and some watercolors to create a classy and simple card.

If you would like to see more details about how I made this card, please visit my blog at Ode to Paper.

This Poppies stamp set is so beautiful, and since poppies come in all kinds of different colors, you can really have fun with it :)

You can make a simple card so elegant with an image like this.  It becomes the focal point of the card so easily, and with so little work involved in the actual card-making process.  When you put  alot of time into the image itself, you don't always want to make a busy card, let the image do the talking!

Come back soon for more beautiful inspiration from the talented design team here at Sweet Stamps, and don't forget to come back and join us for one of two monthly challenges!
