Happy Day Wishes

Good morning everyone, Nazeema here!!
Chiming in a little late this week.  Trying to get back in the groove and find my mojo spirit.
Do you ever sit at your desk and just stare at your supplies?
When I get crafters block, I turn to my distress inks.
With no plan in mind, without a guide, I just color, blend, spritz until something clicks.

So before I move into my card today, I want to remind you to check out January's release HERE!!

So for my card today, I am playing with my distress inks.
I used the following colors on my card today:

I painted my Piccolo: Cock A Doodle Do with black gesso and simply laid it on top of the colored background.  I then stamped the sentiment using Versafine ink.

Thanks for stopping by today.
See you back tomorrow!

Hugs.

Foiled Valentine

Josette here with my Tuesday Card.  This is a simple but impressive card.  I made this for my grand daughters valentines.  I needed something that I could reproduce quickly and mass produce as well.  She enjoyed helping me out with the design and of course loved using my MINC.

I used the new stamp set: You Make My Heart Sing, to create this card which is an A2 size.
This was very difficult to photograph.  All of the black is a foiled color.  The bird is blue and everything else is Red.
Here I was able to get a glimmer of the red on the heart.

How this card was made:  stamp in a dark black ink and then scan.  Print the scan on a laser printer and I used Heidi Swapp's Minc machine on this card.  There are many videos and instructions on how to get foil onto Stamped images.  I chose the easiest way for me.  Final step was to add some Bling, mount on a red card base.  After making more that 40 of these, I am a pro and foiling!!

Happy Crafing,
Will be back next week with another card

I love this Winter Bears stamp set. I colored him in using Copic markers. I embossed the background and used white ink to distress the snowflakes. Last of all was to add some stitching to the edges of the cardstocks. This set and many other beautiful new releases are available in the shop.

Love in the Air

Good day everyone, Josette here with another Tuesday card for Sweet Stamps.    Again I used the new released and combined 2 sets.  I think this could either be a baby shower, wedding shower or Valentine card.  What do you think?

Here is how I created the background.
I used the die on the right to create a mask and inked with Broken China and Tumbled Glass, both distress inks using an ink blending tool.   I kept moving the mask around to get variation.  After inking, I cut it down to an A2 size.  Added a sun and clouds.  Some were popped up on 3D foam tape and others were adhered directly to paper.  A few small clear sequins finished the look.
The bear was colored with copic markers and fussy cut.  He was then popped up using  foam tape.
Another view, see how the fur has been mottled using colorless blender.  Double click to get a good look.  After everything was finished, I added a bow and mounted the card onto the white card base.  The sun was trimmed to the edge of the card.

Thank you for stopping by
Until next week,
Happy Crafting

So Happy Together

Happy Monday! Kim here with a new card today using Sweet Stamps' new release called Happy Together Couple. I used Copic markers to color the stamped image in. I used 3D tape to pop up the image.

I did some stenciling for the green background using Sweet Stamps' Roof Tiles background stencil. The white portion of the cardstock was embossed using a heart embossing folder.

I Love You (Banner Girl)

Good Morning people!

Britt Bass here bringing you a card I made using a sweet little stamp set called Banner Girl & Words!

Can you believe it is time to start making valentines?!  I began my card by stamping the girl from Banner Girl & Words Little Sweetiesstamp set on three different piece of paper - a white cardstock, a floral cardstock and a mint green.  I fussy cut and paper pieced her headband, dress, banner and shoes from the two patterned pieces and used my Spectrum Noir markers to color her hair, skin and socks.  I then set her aside.

I used a frame from the Piccolo Accents set "Small Gears and Accents" and covered it with that light cream- colored woodgrain paper and attached dotted tulle to the hollow in the middle.  I wanted it to look like a little screen door!  I cut a panel of scrapbook paper with a rose design to the size of my A2 card and used a corner chomper to give it a decorative corner.  I used distress ink on the card, frame and some parts of the little girl image and then assembled everything on my card with pop dots.

To finish I added some stickle dots and hearts, a heart outline sticker and two paper flowers from my stash.

Don't forget to visit Sweet Stamps for lots of really adorable new sets for January!

Bear Hugs

Josette here.  I have a Bear Hug for you.  Another of the soon to be released stamps sets from Sweet Stamps.
Isn't this bear just adorable.  I created this for al my Washington Friends in Cougar Colors.  WSU is one of my alma maters and 2 of my children graduated from there as well.  But the real reason, he is just so darn cute!!!

This is straight topic coloring, nothing fancy.  the only thing I did special was to texture the "fur"
See how the fur appears mottled.  This is done by spritzing the coloring with Colorless blender using a mini mister.  After thoroughly dry, color the rest normally.  I did add a layer of clear Wink of Stella to the scarf and hat.  The ear muffs were made with Texture paste and glitter.

Remember to visit  Sweet Stamps for all your Supplies and don't forget to preorder you stamps.

Watercolor Poppies

Good morning everyone, Nazeema here!!
Do you set New Year resolutions?
I did!! I created a few for my personal life and also my hobby! I have a very unorganized room right now and TONS of bins with supplies, that I need to start purging.  So that is one of my goals!  To purge half of the things I have in bins before the end of the year.  That doesn't sound too hard I know, but I am being very realistic; especially in finding the time to do so!

Sorry to be rambling today.   :)
Remember to check out January's release HERE!!
So today, I created a simple card using Poppy Garden
I've had this stamp for awhile now and I feel guilty for not ever using it!!
I stamped the image onto Tim Holtz Watercolor paper using Memento Tuxedo black ink.
As you can see, the black bled out a little when on contact with water.  This started to bother me a little, but water coloring is NOT suppose to be perfect.  I'm having to learn to let go of the control embedded from using Copic markers.   I then pulled out my Peerless swatches and colored using a water brush. I used "hi" from the Simple Greeting stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by today.
See you back tomorrow!

Hugs.

Beautiful Day Cameo Card

Hello! Britt Bass here today to share a sweet little card with lots of die cutting and a few inking techniques.

Sweet Stamps manufactures many exceptionally good quality steel rule dies.  I have used three of the ones available to create the focal cameo and floral image on this card.

First I took a blank white piece of cardstock and stamped the Antique Leaf Scroll  border stamp with Versamark three times on the cardstock and embossed it using White Fine Detail embossing powder.  I used two colors of distress inks and applied them to the background with a ink blending tool.  The white embossed stamped image resisted the inking beautifully.

I took orange, white and green DCWV cardstock and cut using the Mini Flower die, the Cameo Lady die and the Fancy Leaf die. I also cut a label shape from a label die set from my stash.  I assembled the lady and the label together to create the cameo and assembled the flowers.  I used pearl paint to add pearls to the lady and pretty pearlized centers to the flowers and set both aside.

I used the Beautiful Day stamp to add a sentiment to the green strip of paper. (The original stamp says "Have a Beautiful Day" but I masked off the beginning of the phrase before I inked it in order to make it possible for me to use only the words I wanted to).  I added the sentiment, a piece of polka dot mesh and a ruffled ribbon to the bottom of the card.  I adhered my cameo, the flowers and the leaf die cuts onto the card and it was all done!!

Take a look at all the wonderful supplies to help you recreate this card available on Sweet Stamps' online store!

Hello Penquin

Josette here with another card using the soon to be released stamp sets.  This is another penguin, a happy fellow, sending Hello wishes.

This is a very simple card with minimal coloring.  I used copics to shade the inside of the white area on the penguin, this gives dimension.  Colored the feet and beak with Y06.  The hat band was colored with BG57 and BG10. The majority of the focus was on the background.
First I shaded around the image with C markers, C0, C01.  Then went a little farther out with C2.  Next I added BG0000 and BG 10 to create the "ice".  Swirled B0000 in the "sky" around the Penguin.
Lastly used a glitter pen to outline the "ice" and and add clouds.  A few sequins, and a bow completed the image.  This is a 5.5" square card and the image was attached using fun foam and Scor-tape.

Stamps and supplies are available at :   Sweet Stamps.

Have A Beautiful Day

Hi There! This is Kim here to share with you a set of notecards using this beautiful stamp called Poppy. I colored each image with a different color to give it variety. I added a black matting to pop up the image. The sentiment is stamped using the Beautiful Birthday sentiment. I freehand the banner and popped up the image and sentiment using 3D tape.

I also wanted to decorate the envelopes so I stamped the front using only black ink.

Happy 2016 | Background Stamping

Hellooooo!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Britt Bass here and I'm so glad you decided to join me today!  I wanted to pop in and share a festive little new years card I made just for you, using Sweet Stamps rubber and clear stamps!

When if first saw the Braided Flower Border rubber stamp I knew it would make a stunning background for a card!  I stamped it in three colors of Memento Dew Drop inks in a diagonal pattern across a panel of  bright white cardstock.  I think this stamp is perfect for a new years card because it looks a little like ticker tape falling across your card!

I adhered the stamped panel and then cut a piece of silver glitter paper by DCWV  and adhered that with dimensional squares down the middle of the card.  I then stamped the main image from the Banner Girl and Words clear stamp set, BUT I only cut out and used the BANNER portion instead of including the whole image of the girl holding the banner.  Using parts of a stamped image selectively can really give your stamp sets more life and versatility!

I adhered my "Oh Happy Day" banner to the silver as well as mixing and matching some fun letter stickers and foam number stickers to create the rest of my sentiment.  To finish, I added a strip of purple cardstock below and two strips above the sentiment to give it a bit more of a finished look.

I hope you have an absolutely WONDERFUL New Year's Day and a MAGNIFICENT 2016!
