Simple Christmas Card

Hello Crafty Friends!

Last December we were expecting a baby so I did not make any Christmas cards. This October our family moved and I still don't have all my craft stuff put away (baby's 1st birthday party took priority) but I  missed being crafty for the holidays and really wanted to make cards this year. I was running out of time but I was able to scrounge up a few supplies from my stash to use and I am happy with the finished product - what do you think?
I also wanted to share with you a little fix I had to use on some of the panels that were no-so-greatly-embossed. Take a look at the photo below and you'll see what I mean...the "joy" is there, but not embossed so well. Quickie Glue Pen to the rescue! I love my Quickie Glue Pens, they are great for gluing small areas (like on diecuts).
The glue goes on blue and dries clear, but the best part is you can put your embossing powder over the glue when it's wet or after it dries...it stays sticky after drying until you put something on it. Great for when you need to do a few things at a time.
I let the glue dry clear and added another sprinkling of Fantasy White EP , heated it to melt and viola! all fixed! This EP has a sparkle to it but I didn't get a good photo of it.
We hope that you and your family have a wonderful Christmas! Here's a couple of our favorite holiday photos:

Smile

Hello! Kim here to share with you a card using The Cabbage Rose and Keep Calm stamp set. I am also using the Tangrams Art Stencil to create my background.
I embossed the Cabbage Rose using white embossing powder. I then created the background using Sweet Stamps' Tangram art stencil in shades of Dandelion and Montego Bay. I created a mask for the cabbage rose using a piece of post it note. I colored in the image using a shade of yellow, green and red. I used a water brush to distribute the colors. The sentiment is from the Keep Calm set. I freehand the banner and adhered it onto the card using 3d tape. I felt it needed something so I randomly added some rhinestones.
I made a mistake of swiping the red ink with the first card below and it smeared a bit onto the stenciled background so I ended up with two cards :) The top one I placed the stencil in a different direction.

Birthday Wishes

Hello! This is Kim. You can never have enough birthday cards. Today, I am using Sweet Stamps Party Mouse to make my card. I created the background using Sweet Stamps Roof Tile stencil. The light purple was done using a combination of pink and purple inks. The mice are colored in using Copic markers. I added blue around the image and randomly placed rhinestones on the image panel.

Merry Christmas

Hello! Kim here to share with you a Christmas in July card using Mr. and Mrs. Snow Duo. I created the scene using a snowflake embossing folder and die cut the snow. The snow couple was colored in using Copic markers and I added snow and polka dots to them using a white gel pen. I also added glitter to the snow.
